A Special Day.... And a Sad Day

Saturday morning was very special. My Son and his Wife brought into this world Tyler. My first grandchild. 8lbs/10.oz and 22 inches of a gift from God.
I know i can be a hard ass at times. But that is my nature and the way i was raised.
Take care of family and do what is right.
Today i shed a few tears, my son become a father, i become a grandfather, but most of all God bless our family with a new child.
Pray for this child for God to lead him in the way he should go, for good health and for knowledge and wisdom.

And on this day also. My sister who i love had to go into the hospital for fluid in her lungs. Remember her in your thoughts and prayers. She is my only sister and a person full of love and love of life.

Just wanted to share a little with my friends.

Thanks for both bro. I consider this forum and it's members a part of my little network of friends.
We may not always see eye to eye. That is what it is all about. We can point out what we want and agree to disagree.
But i think we all share a few common ground things. Sports, the love of Kids, and having fun, and sharing our thought and dreams.
Like i said sometimes i know i come across hard core. But that is the way i was raised. Take care of family and do what is expected.
Not to bad of values in today's times.
And when i looked into the eyes of a child i had to think, thank you God.

And when i looked into the face of my sister. I had to think God i know you can do anything but fail. She loves life and she loves being who she is, a loving caring mother and sister and aunt. So if you would God look down on her and keep your hand on her. She is not only a sister, but a mom, aunt and just a great person.

Very inspiring post. I am impressed. I will remember your sister. I don't have any grandkids yet, so you are ahead of me. I will be 59 on Wednesday and am going to be too old to enjoy them.
